I recently blogged about a project we’ve been involved with in the Oil Industry. This was the PLC Upgrade of a Top Drive Control System used on an inland Oil Drilling Rig, which turned out to be not only of huge benefit to our customer but a truly wonderful experience for us, despite the challenging work which was involved. The customer was also kind enough to leave a glowing testimonial of the work we carried out, which makes us incredibly proud to be appreciated in this way.
However we’re now facing a new challenge but this time with Wind Turbines.
A new concept in Wind Turbine technology is being brought to fruition and we’ve been asked to lend a helping hand!
For now there’s some initial PLC Software Design and bench testing of a Siemens LOGO Controller to be done, which is all well and good as we like the Siemens LOGO a lot and the power it packs. This is especially true of the model we’re using (Logo 6ED1 052-1MD00-0BA8) as it’s Ethernet enabled.
We’re therefore once again looking forward to working closley with a new customer and delivering a tailored controls solution to yet another new industry for us – this time the Wind Turbine Industry.
